The original living room of Sir Sam’s Hughes summer retreat, the Lounge by the Fire is an inviting room for an indoor ceremony or pre-dinner reception.

DINING EXPERIENCE

Hosting up to 60 family and friends the Twin Fires Dining Room offers an intimate yet festive atmosphere for your Wedding Dinner. The dining room features large windows overlooking Eagle Lake, sparkling table settings and warm lighting.

GUNNERS PUB

Our welcoming pub where your guests will enjoy billiards, darts, shuffleboard or just relaxing by the fire. There is also space for a live band or DJ so you can dance the night away.

Hughes Wing Conference Room

This large high ceiling room features plenty of windows overlooking Eagle Lake and can be setup to provide a charming setting for a more traditional ceremony.

Audio/Visual Equipment

  • Equipment is available for use at Sir Sam’s Inn & Water Spa locations only.
  • LCD projector and Screen $100 plus HST/day
  • PA system (speakers and mic) $50 plus HST/day
  • Flip Chart and felt pens $25 plus HST/day
  • Speaker’s podium $50 plus HST/day

Additional Catering Information

All food and beverages must be supplied by Sir Sam’s Inn & Water Spa with the exception of specialty cakes/ cupcakes. Cakes will be subject to a cutting and service fee of $2 per guest (cutting and plate ware provided). Corkage events are respectfully declined due to Ontario Liquor bylaws disallowing restaurants to partake in this service. Any food from a full service catered event cannot be packaged to take home.

Rehearsal Dinner and Gift Opening Brunch

We also offer perfect venues for your Rehearsal Dinner and Gift Opening Brunch! A variety of venues are available. Please contact us for more information.

Deposits

We do require a non-refundable deposit of $1000 to secure your wedding date and location.

Taxes and Service Charges

All above rates are subject to 13% HST and 15% service charge

Contract

Payment of your deposit and our initial acceptance constitutes a formal contract. The full details will be confirmed in writing and this is our basis of acceptance. Only subsequent changes to which we agree in writing are part of that contract. Please discuss any possible changes (including numbers), rather than assuming that variations are possible. Once a wedding day has been reserved, we strictly reserve the specified venue for your date and time.

General Arrangements

  • 2 weeks prior to event – final menu selections
  • 4 days prior to event
  • Final guest count / Final balance due
  • We allow 5% overage on guest count. This count will be your minimum guarantee and is not subject to reduction
  • Final payment can be paid with a cashiers check, credit card or cash. we do not accept personal checks.
  • The number of tables requested is also due one week prior to your event so that a final
  • Room diagram may be created for you.
  • Any changes on day of event will be subject to an additional $200 setup fee

  • Check in all wedding guest at the Inn. You are required to drop off all decorations; place cards; table map; etc.
